We all come across one of these and are reminded that we are probably dirty or that there is a culture of deadly little bacteria that are looking for nothing more than to wipe us off the face of the earth. I work in health care and I know first hand the dangers of infection, disease, and any other contagion. But I think and from what I've read and heard from nurses is that these bad boys do less preventing disease and do more at building resistance than anything. On top of using hand sanitizer (which only does the bare minimum on the "warfare" against germs) I have to use a sterilizing hand soap that is the equivalent to setting off a nuke on the valley of my skin.
And yes, if you look at patients in our current health care they ARE affected by the onslaught of germs and bacteria. But not because that is the nature of things; on the contrary, it's because of our synthetic look at germs and how to deal with them. Western medicine seeks to eradicate where as Eastern practices look at building up immunities and natural resistance.
And putting an end to our bacteria culture on our body does not serve anyone good. In studies, children who are more exploratory and expose themselves more to dirt and bacteria have GREATER immunity than those who are routinely sterile. It seems that we've opened Pandora's Box in health care where we've removed nature all together from the equation and invited a new kind of chaos to take its place; a synthetic one.
This is a terrible mistake. We venture into a new terrain where illness and disease are given more room to develop and strengthen. We've come from the old ages where people thought bathing and having good hygiene was seen as the catalyst of illness. And now we just live in the opposite. We put our sick in dry and sterile buildings where nothing natural occurs. We detach ourselves so far from the energies at play in nature that we fall out of their reach completely.
So, I realized that there is something wrong with how we look at things in our society in general. It's all transferable. It's a shame because the answers are right In front of us in my opinion: Balance. Nothing could be simpler than saying yes it's good to be clean but not to go to the extreme of sterilization. We all know that if we don't drink enough water we will get dehydrated causing a plethora of negative chain reactions in the body. But the same is true if we drink too much water as well. Also, if we give a car engine too much oil it could overheat and explode and if we use too little then no positive effect is given either.
When disease or illness occur it seeks out weak spots in the body. If your weak spot is your lungs due to smoking for many years, then most likely that will be the organ of the body that fails first. But if the lungs are stronger than usual for that particular person even if they smoke, then it will just go on to the next affected part of the body. Smoking is also hard on the heart as it causes high blood pressure and constricts the vessels making the circulatory system work overtime, so the heart would become the next weak spot.
We recognize two very different concepts in health care: western medicine wants to suppress symptoms and eastern medicine seeks to bring body back to homeostasis.
Let me tell you the secrets of the the two. So as I've said too much of something brings havoc to any system of function wether biological or mechanical. So western medicine sees cure as coming from without the body as per doctors order, medicine, or symptom relief. Whereas eastern medicine focuses on homeostasis coming from inside, the help of raw plant medicine, and involving other "subtle" energies as a factor in illness or disease.
I've seen medicines and such in my line of work bring people from one end of the spectrum of illness to the other. Not too mention doctors that don't really even take the time to really diagnose and treat properly. All the things I've seen help people benefit from more in health care have been non-invasive.
I would find it very shameful if our society continued to subdue and diminish the alternative practices of medicine in complete and utter trust and favor of the western medicine. It would be a large disservice if we treated everyone as if they can all be treated the exact same way with no other option. I believe that if we continue this one-sided view of health and medicine, we spit on the ancients who blessed us with the knowledge and foundation of healing in the first place. The Egyptians, the early Chinese cultures, The Aztecs, The Mayans, and Native Americans, and many more.
We act so proud and calleous as a relatively new civilization that we forget how humbling nature can be in times of great "order". Revoking balance in exchange for the creation of large corporations delegating the health and control of all its people is an eventual futile endeavor. One day our societies will not withstand such arrogance. One day, as the Goddess continues to return, as spirituality is returning to the world, we will face the ones who abhor balance.
It is all transferable. The destruction of all bacteria out of irrational fear and the leaders who profit from this biological weakness seek to put the pendulum of humanity so out of balance. The more out of balance we become, the more coagulation and confusion we endure when trying to seek the truth. The more we are distanced from the truth the more docile and elastic we become.
One should never blindly follow anyone or anything and forsake their intuition. Intuition is the eye of the divine feminine breaking through into a hyper-rational and hyper-logical world.
Yes, the Purell Hand Sanitizer was the catalyst for this rant but from there I clearly went much deeper. Somethings just feel good to write out.
Hope you all find Balance and Truth.
Be Blessed,
Jorden
